Ilea Palm Care is a family run company. The company owners are Alex and Michelle Garvin who believe that children and young people deserve a family home, not a care home.

Our business is about people first. Our children are central to everything we do and why we exist. We have a positive outlook for our children and our teams, we believe our children and our staff can achieve amazing things, our role is to support them to get there.

We know that we need to work with others to achieve the best outcomes for children. This means building and maintaining connections with their families, carers and professionals to make sure that the child's needs are always met.

We are Competent

We ensure that the regulatory requirements are met in the running of our home. We feel strongly that our staff should have high levels of skills and knowledge to meet the unique needs of each child. We maintain our professional registrations, understand the need to maintain competency and keep up to date with training and sector developments.

Our staff will always conduct themselves professionally, this means acting with honesty and integrity and maintaining open channels of communication. We want to build a relationship based on mutual respect.

We are Safe

Safety is core to what we do. We demand sound safeguarding practices. We ensure data is accurate, secure and confidential. We conduct risk assessments to enable safe working practises. We endeavour to operate our business responsibly and ethically.

We will strive to provide an inspirational care provision in order to raise the aspirations of vulnerable and socially excluded children in society. We have a commitment to child-led provision, empowerment and development to help children achieve their full potential.

Specialist

We specialise in looking after children and young people who are emotionally vulnerable and behaviourally challenging. We base our practice on the values of unconditional positive regard for the individual, equality in relationships and same life chances for all.

We are a privately owned residential home that celebrates and welcomes diversity. We have no bias towards any particular faith, religion or spirituality. We have strong principles of equality that are based on underlying principles of respect, tolerance and understanding.

Talented

We believe that the children in our care are capable, able and talented individuals. It is our role to support the children to find their abilities and build upon these throughout their childhood working towards long term meaningful employment into adulthood and as much independence as they are able.
